Let's assume this is a workwear-inspired shirt... As with all workwear. it all hinges on functionality. There's no puny little pockets – instead you get a lovely buttoned smaller pouch to one side plus a larger one for a pocketbook and pen.

The tunic-like hemline and big side gussets let you wear this untucked whilst you're zipping around. 

Most panels are double or triple-stitched. meaning it's going to outlast you. There's even some chain-stitching overrun to remind you that the factory which sewed this together have been making clothes longer than you've been alive.
